Semester - Long Courses

 

NTU’s PaCE College offers Semester–Long Courses (SLC) which are bite-sized modular courses taken from both the Undergraduate and Graduate Full Degree Programmes. 

The courses can be taken individually and last for one semester of 13 weeks. Each course is credit-bearing and can be stackable to the relevant degree. There will be continuous assessments during course period and a final exam at the end of the course which contribute to a final grade. A certificate will be awarded to the successful registrants upon completion of courses.

Specialist Certificate Courses enable working adults to update their knowledge and upgrade their skills required in key growth sectors to keep pace with the fast-changing economy.

There are 10 Specialist Certificates which consist of modules taken from the Undergraduate Full Degree across a wide spectrum of disciplines such as Electrical Power System, Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics Software, Civil Infrastructure, Software Basics II, Cyber Security and more.

There are 2 Graduate Certificate Courses which consist of modules taken from the Postgraduate Full Degree Programme in key growth sectors such as Electronics and Power Engineering.

Standalone SLC banner.jpg

Standalone SLC enable working professionals to upgrade their skills and update their knowledge on specific topics as well as acquire relevant skills without the necessity to pursue a full degree qualification. 

The courses are drawn from NTU’s existing full qualification programmes, and categorised in Engineering, Sciences, Computing, and Business fields. Some of these courses have been developed for technology-enhanced learning using the new flipped classroom pedagogy. Participants’ access and study course materials online before meeting classmates and their professors in face-to-face discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Full online courses on selected fields are also available. These online courses will provide you ways to learn and go deeper into the field anywhere and anytime at your convenience.

They comprise curated work skills to equip you with relevant skills sets to meet changing job demands that provide funding support towards your course fees.

SkillsFuture Credit (SFC)

Singaporean aged 25 and above can use their SkillsFuture Credit of S$500 to pay for the course fee of approved skills-related courses. For more information, please visit www.skillsfuture.sg/credit.

With effect from 19 May 2017, the default payment mode for all courses is for individuals to pay for the SFC directly to Training Providers within 60 days before the course starting dates (date inclusive).

Participants intending to use their SFC must adhere to all terms and conditions set by SkillsFuture Singapore.​

NTUC UTAP Funding

UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme) is an individual skills upgrading account especially for NTUC members and U Network members. 
Assoicate members (but are not NTUC members) of the NTUC U Network can now receive up to 25% of the course fee funding on selected Semester-Long Courses, up to a maximum of SGD50 per year under the UTAP funding.

Alumni Credit

​​All NTU/NIE alumni (students who graduated with a diploma/degree from any of the undergraduate/postgraduate programmes offered by NTU/NIE) will each receive S$1,600 in course credits that they can use to apply to all courses offered by the College of Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE College).
